There should be a point to movies. Sure, you’re giving people a diversion from the cold world for a bit, but at the same time, you pass on some facts and rules and maybe a little bit of wisdom.
This is fun. This treatment and first draft of “The Star Wars” (which would, of course, become Star Wars: A New Hope) is wildly different from the final film. For one thing, Luke is a general in the treatment and script. The differences only get more extreme from there.
This is the second draft of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. At the time, it was titled Revenge of the Jedi. The script was written by Lawrence Kasdan and George Lucas.
If I’d have gone to art school, or stayed in anthropology, I probably would have ended up back in film … Mostly I just followed my inner feelings and passions … and kept going to where it got warmer and warmer, until it finally got hot … Everybody has talent. It’s just a matter of moving around until you’ve discovered what it is.
One of the great films of all time and a great read. This draft of The Empire Strikes Back was made available by myPDFscripts. The script was written by Leigh Brackett and Lawrence Kasdan from George Lucas’ story.
