A Free Chart to Track Your Writing in 2016

by Angela Bourassa

Happy almost New Year! Over the last few days, we’ve posted some writing resolutions to help you get motivated for 2016. Today, we want to help you act on those goals with this free writing tracker.

Download the free writing tracker here. It looks like this:

CaptureAs you can see, every day of the year is laid out, giving you something to cross off every time you meet your writing goal for the day.

Then there are lines for each week. My goal is to read one screenplay each week, which I will write down on these lines. You can use them to mark other goals, write notes to yourself (such as, “started second draft” or “outlining week”), or whatever you like.

There is also an open space under each month. Here you can write down a goal for the month, the book(s) you read that month, or anything else that helps you achieve your goals.

Print the tracker out and pin it somewhere that you’ll see it every day. The hope is that this visual reminder will help you stay on track. Good luck!
