This early draft of Prometheus (originally titled Alien: Engineers) was written by Jon Spaihts. The script was later rewritten by Damon Lindelof. Both writers have credits on the film. This is a prequel to Alien and Aliens, both of which are considered essential reading for screenwriters. (Early drafts are a great way to see how ideas develop, change, and get cut throughout the rewriting process).
